LinkedIn Profiles That Get Results - MC

Image
LinkedIn Profiles That Get Results  The websites of LinkedIn and Indeed have many benefits to them. They allow for a recruiter to see who would be the best fit for a job and allows the job searcher to know what they are getting into before applying to a job listing. In the past, job recruiters and job lookers had a difficult process laid out for them before technology and especially before websites like LinkedIn and Indeed. Many people were blinded one way or another with an ad or a posting that did not sell the full picture, so having these websites is great for college graduates or anyone to look at.  Anyone is able to get results on their profile if they have great connections and if they know what to look for. It is very important for a person to think about how their profile looks before they finish any concrete steps on it. Perceptions of the profiles of people on LinkedIn and Indeed change, depending on who is looking at them, but it is so important for others to ...

DIOR'S TOP 5 FAVORITE SCENTS (and others the brand would recommend) (Dior) At  Dior , we are loving the Miss Dior scent! It has been sold all across the country because of its 'blooming goodness' and our team can't get enough of it! The pink bowtie bottle screams springtime, and we absolutely love the florals it brings. This scent is very feminine and it is the type of perfume great for any setting in any type of attire.  Miss Dior is made of a harmonious and fresh floral blend of Lilly-of-the-Valley, apricot-tinged peony and Iris. The result is a fresh, clean scent that is fool-proof for any young girl trying out perfume for the first time.  Natalie Portman is an ambassador of this scent, and it is absolutely stunning on her!  Portman has had a few words to say about the scent: "I absolutely love Miss Dior, and it's so versatile -- you can bring it on vacation, wear it to work, and even just wear it for a cozy day in. It's springtime in a bottle."  (M...

MC - Blog One - A Little Bit About Me

AN INTRODUCTION ABOUT ME a little look into who I am, and my life (me, Marissa!) Hey guys! I'm Marissa Cohen. I know that the past couple of years have been hard for a lot of you, so I want this blog to be an escape from life and the hardships of it. In this blog, you'll learn a little bit about me, where I'm from, my interests, and much more!  I am from Miami, Florida, and miss the warm weather a lot right now. I've heard from a lot of people that they either hate Florida or they love it. That makes sense to me because after living there for my entire life, I still don't enjoy the sandy beaches, never wearing sweatpants, the over-crowdedness and being sweaty all the time. Trust me, it's not fun. On a lighter note, I love the landscape of Florida and the activities I can do while I'm there. In the summer, I want to lounge at the beach and read my books. Realistically, I'll have a job after my birthday trip. (that's me, all glammed up for my high scho...

Blog #5 - Swatches

SWATCHES - 11/23/2021 Introduction : For this assignment, we were tasked with creating swatches behind the inspiration of a photo we were tasked with choosing. For my inspiration, I used a photo I took of myself from fall break when I was in Miami, Florida. From this image, I was able to take three colors - pink, green, and gold - and make them swatches and nameplates.  What I Learned : From creating my swatches and nameplates, I was able to learn what is necessary in creating a professional looking swatch and nameplates that would present well for a future job or other professional endeavor. I think this really helped me for any future assignments, internships, or jobs I may want to pursue and this would really expand my personal portfolio and allow me to experiment with different shades while keeping a sense of fun and lightness out of the entire experience.  Overall Thoughts : When I was completing this assignment, I was a bit confused on how to create the swatch...

Introduction Hey, everyone! Welcome back to my blog! For this assignment we were tasked into using the cloning and/or healing tools. I chose to color and clone Harry Styles' face onto a sunflower for this assignment.  Tools Used During the course of this assignment I used the clone stamp tool. I wanted to clone Harry's face onto the sunflower following something like we did in a previous class assignment. I tried to patch him in to look the most like the flower.  Images

BLOG POST 3 - MEME Introduction Welcome to my third blog post!  The premise of this assignment was to create a meme that is original and that allows you to adapt your skills to create a meme that is unique and original. This assignment tested students skills in making memes and making sure they were able to understand how to follow instructions in creating this.  Meme and Layers Panel Layers Panel Meme Challenges While Making My Meme  When putting this meme together I realized the step by step process of making sure everything was laid together smoothly and that everything worked together cohesively was difficult for building a first time meme. Putting John Cena in with the Winchester Brothers and making sure he looked somewhat decent was difficult and I was only able to create my meme with the help of Heagney's videos.  What I Learned While making this meme and adding adjustment layers in making sure I correctly followed the assignment, I found that creating and exe...

Blog Post 2: Business Cards By: Marissa Cohen Introduction  Welcome to my second blog post! This week in my class I learned how to make a business card. I had to follow a rubric on how to make the card and do my best to follow directions in order to produce a well-made product. I think it's important to know that getting the dimensions for the card right are essential, and making sure you use a professional photo when creating the cards is also a recipe for a successful business card. BUSINESS CARD This image before the final preview of the card allowed me to see what I was able to produce and my placement of everything I wanted to be included on this business card. FINAL PRODUCT My final business card turned out well for the first time making it. I did my best to follow the correct dimensions and bleed in order to achieve a good business card.   What I Learned Something that aided me when making this card were the readings and assignment itself. I was able to learn how to ins...

Blog Post 1: Photos by: Marissa Cohen Introduction Hello! Welcome to my blog! My name is Marissa Cohen and this is my first ever blog post, courtesy of my college COM 1113 class. This first blog post focuses on establishing different camera angles and particularly focuses on composition and working the shot . I hope to improve throughout this class, and compiling the image of those final photos. I hope you enjoy! Theme The theme I have chosen is sunglasses . Sunglasses are a way to protect yourself from the brightness around you, and you can take them anywhere. They come in different cases, shapes, and colors but we all use them. For my theme, I have decided to take one of my favorite pairs to wear and see how I can manipulate the camera to show the different angles we discussed in class. I wanted to experiment with different areas so I chose to use both the sunglasses with and without the case.  Background By having this image focus on the case, I was able to establish a shot that...
