DIOR'S TOP 5 FAVORITE SCENTS (and others the brand would recommend)

At Dior, we are loving the Miss Dior scent! It has been sold all across the country because of its 'blooming goodness' and our team can't get enough of it! The pink bowtie bottle screams springtime, and we absolutely love the florals it brings. This scent is very feminine and it is the type of perfume great for any setting in any type of attire. 


Miss Dior is made of a harmonious and fresh floral blend of Lilly-of-the-Valley, apricot-tinged peony and Iris. The result is a fresh, clean scent that is fool-proof for any young girl trying out perfume for the first time. 


Natalie Portman is an ambassador of this scent, and it is absolutely stunning on her! Portman has had a few words to say about the scent: "I absolutely love Miss Dior, and it's so versatile -- you can bring it on vacation, wear it to work, and even just wear it for a cozy day in. It's springtime in a bottle."

Though this is one of our favorite scents at Dior, we have many others that are amazing as well. Each perfume that is available on our website is unique in its own way, and we love showcasing them on our site. 


J'adore is another favorite of ours, and it's known for being a classic item. It gives a woman a sense of confidence and a commanding presence with its melodic, citrus notes  of pear, melon, peach, magnolia, mandarin orange and bergamot. These simple, fresh and noteworthy scents are aimed towards a more sophisticated audience, and has garnered a reputation for being a shield for women in the world of perfumes.

The perfume is iconic because it has an elegant simplicity, and pays tribute to inspirational and important women throughout history. It is a staple item among many well-known women's boudoirs, and will continue to be one of the brand's most revered products.




JOY by Dior represents many things, but most importantly signifies a new life blooming while embracing the beauty of the present. This fragrance is elegance all over, with a diamond encrusted cap and crystallization throughout the bottle, or seamless and clear glass. Bergamot and mandarin orange are the most prominent notes with hints of white musk, sandalwood and cedar interlaced. 


Capturing the beauty of the moment, JOY captures the youthful vivacity of the present, regardless of age. The intricate detailing that makes the scent so well respected among perfumers will last for a very long time. 

                                                                    


Dolce Vita gives hints to Europe as its bottle is covered by bubbles, an ode to the European culture and its sophistication. This scent is visually appealing without being too flashy and too pompous. The scent holds a subtle intensity, with notes of peach, cardamom, lily, grapefruit, bergamot, and rose. It will always be classic among Dior's customers, and showcases the expansion beyond the well-known perfumes of America.




Les Escales de Dior is meant to be an adventurous and spontaneous scent, with notes of bergamot, lemon and petitgrain to compliment the desire to explore. Its spontaneity inspires those who wear it to take advantage of and embrace the unexpected with grace and sophistication. 




Other scents that we would recommend from other brands are Blossom by Jimmy Choo, Chanel No. 5 by Chanel, Libre by YSL, Wild Rose by Coach, and Daisy by Marc Jacobs. Each of these scents are unique in their own way, and as a brand it is important that we highlight other scents that inspire springtime, sophistication, elegance and class. It's important that in the world of scents, more than one is able to shine.

I had to follow a rubric on how to make the card and do my best to follow directions in order to produce a well-made product. I think it's important to know that getting the dimensions for the card right are essential, and making sure you use a professional photo when creating the cards is also a recipe for a successful business card. Blog #5 - Swatches

 SWATCHES - 11/23/2021 Introduction : For this assignment, we were tasked with creating swatches behind the inspiration of a photo we were tasked with choosing. For my inspiration, I used a photo I took of myself from fall break when I was in Miami, Florida. From this image, I was able to take three colors - pink, green, and gold - and make them swatches and nameplates.  What I Learned : From creating my swatches and nameplates, I was able to learn what is necessary in creating a professional looking swatch and nameplates that would present well for a future job or other professional endeavor. I think this really helped me for any future assignments, internships, or jobs I may want to pursue and this would really expand my personal portfolio and allow me to experiment with different shades while keeping a sense of fun and lightness out of the entire experience.  Overall Thoughts : When I was completing this assignment, I was a bit confused on how to create the swatch...
